Fernando Arroyo graduated from the famous Ecole Hoteliere of Lausenne in Switzerland, started his career working on board Cruise Ships with Royal Viking and later Silver Sea Cruises. Four years on board ships gave him the opportunity to circle the globe twice and visit many ports of call.
Relocated back to Ecuador to be part of the opening team of the Hilton Guayaquil as Front Office Manager. During his nine years and four countries working with Hilton International, worked his way up by occupying the posts of Room Divisions Manager, Resident Manager, Director of Operations and General Manager. During his time with Hilton, he was regional trainer as well as member of the company’s Assessing Team for the Development of Upper Management.
In 2006 relocated to Singapore to work at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. After completing his assignment there, undertook his post-graduate studies obtaining an MBA from Rutgers University from Ney Jersey, USA and became a University Professor with teaching assignments in Singapore and China. Amongst the courses taught are: Marketing, Hotel & Resort Operations, Sustainability in the Hotel Industry, Events Management, Revenue Management, Communication and Customer Service Management.
In 2011 went back to the operation by joining Six Senses Hotels, Resorts & Spas in Thailand and later Vietnam as General Manager. He currently works as a hotel consultant for RPB SEA Holding Limited for their Six Star Luxury Resort and Wellness Center in Cambodia.
Fernando has also completed hotel related course from Cornell University in USA and IMD School of Business in Switzerland and throughout his career he has proven his managerial and leaderships skills to be of the highest levels. With mother tongue Spanish, speaks five other languages. He joined Hoteliers Inspiration with a bag load of knowledge, experience and expertize, ready to help develop the hotel and tourism sectors in the region.
